Dirt Locker® Warranty Information

Limited 5-Year Warranty

Dirt Locker® offers a limited 5-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers normal use of the product, provided that it has been installed and maintained according to the guidelines outlined below.
What the Warranty Covers

  • Defects in Materials: If the Dirt Locker® units show any defects in material or workmanship under normal usage conditions, we will replace the defective unit free of charge.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Improper installation.
  • Misuse or abuse.
  • Use in extreme or abnormal environmental conditions (e.g., extreme temperatures beyond the product’s specifications, fire hazards, etc.).
  • Use outside the recommended slope grade or soil conditions.
  • Physical damage from external sources (e.g., sharp tools, heavy equipment, or extreme pressure).

Installation and Maintenance Tips

  • Proper Soil Preparation: Before installation, grade the slope, fill divots or ruts, and remove large rocks or debris. Compact the soil while allowing room for plant roots to grow.
  • Follow Installation Guidelines: Install Dirt Lockers® on slopes up to 45°, secure with the correct number of J Hooks. Inadequate anchoring may cause the system to shift or break. Follow specific instructions regarding separate rows.
  • Ensure Proper Alignment: When connecting multiple Dirt Lockers, make sure they are properly aligned to prevent stress on individual units.
  • Ensure only "U" shapes are created: to the width indicated on our "Estimated Page" (this will be specific to your slope value).
  • Vegetation Requirement: Plant at least 50% of the area inside the Dirt Lockers for weight distribution and slope stabilization. 70% vegetation coverage is recommended for optimal performance.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not overfill cells with heavy materials like rocks or gravel. Ensure weight is evenly distributed and avoid filling gravel into the entire cell.
  • Proper Water Management: Ensure good drainage and prevent water from pooling in the Dirt Lockers for extended periods. Turn off irrigation systems during installation.
